Job seekers were threatened with benefits sanctions unless they attended a “jobs fair” staged by Iain Duncan Smith’s Conservative Association, Class War discovered today.
Protesting against benefits cuts outside the “Jobs Fair”, Class War representatives spoke to local unemployed people who had to attend the event at their own expense. The publicity literature states that the event is promoted by the Chingford and Woodford Green Conservative Association with printing by Metloc Printers, a company directed by Essex Tory MP Stephen Metcalfe.
Class War states this is further evidence of corruption, neglect and abuse by Iain Duncan Smith’s Department. Chingford’s Class War parliamentary candidate Marina Pepper will be fighting the outrageous political exploitation of the most needy by Iain Duncan Smith ahead of the 2015 election.
